On November 9, 2024, the ROBOCOMP robot competition took place, organized by the Integra Student Research Group of the AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow. The event featured 60 teams who presented a total of 116 robots.

UBBRobotics was represented by:

• Damian Pytka,
• Jakub Gacek,
• Jakub Wróbel,
• Maksymilian Maślanka,

who prepared the following robots:

• Vulkan – sumo,
• Rycerz – mini sumo,
• MegaWonsz81 – sumo,
• ZbychSpych – mini sumo,
• megawonsz9 – mini sumo,
• PYZA – micro sumo.

The competitions were very intense; ultimately, we finished in 4th place in the micro sumo category. In mini sumo, we advanced from the group stage (but were defeated in the fight for higher places).

We showcased several new robots, while the “older” ones had some modifications implemented. We are analyzing our results, making adjustments, and next Saturday, we will compete with other teams at the Rzeszów University of Technology during XChallenge!
