On September 4, 2021, the Regional Chamber of Industry and Commerce in Gliwice, together with the President of the City of Gliwice, organized the 27th Gala, during which the finals of the 12th edition of the “Marka-Śląskie” competition took place. The aim of the competition is to select and promote people, companies and organizations which, due to their unique values ​​and links with the Silesian Voivodeship, best promote the region.

In the “Science” category, the Chapter awarded only one prize – a distinction for the Inter-disciplinary Student Research Group “Engineer of XXI Century”. The award was received from the President of RIPH, Wiktor Pawlik, by the Rector of the University of Bielsko-Biala, dr hab. Eng. Jacek Nowakowski, prof. ATH and Vice-Dean for Student Affairs of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Computer Science, dr inż. Jacek Rysiński – the tutor and founder of the research group.
Candidates for the “Marka-Śląskie” award may be nominated by local government departments, professional and economic organisations, universities, associations, non-governmental organizations of public benefit, foundations and editorial offices of the press, radio and television.

In this year’s Competition, the President of Bielsko-Biała submitted the candidacy of the Inter-disciplinary Student Research Group “Engineer of XXI Century” ATH.
